Host farms invited to sign up for Alberta Open Farm Days

Registration is now open for any place that wants to be a host farm for Alberta Open Farm Days.

This year’s edition is set for August 16 and 17.

The weekend gives people a chance to visit farms and ranches, see food production first-hand and try and buy locally produced products.

The theme this year is Water, The Lifeblood of Every Farm.

The more than 150 farms that took part last year had over 52,000 visitors.

Since Open Farm Days started in 2013, there have 235,000 visitors to over 1200 operations, with on-farm sales totaling $1.7 million.

Anyone interested in becoming a host farm can check here. The registration deadline is April 30.
