Canada’s Jacobs beats Norway’s Ramsfjell 8-3 at world curling playdowns

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Canada’s Brad Jacobs defeated Norway’s Magnus Ramsfjell 8-3 in the early draw at the BKT World Men’s Curling Championship.

Jacobs, vice Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant and lead Ben Hebert scored three points in the fourth end.

The teams shook hands after Norway gave up a steal of two in the eighth.

The Canadians, who improved to 6-1, will play Czechia’s Lukas Klima in the evening draw.

Round-robin play will continue through Friday night.

The top six teams in the 13-team field will qualify for the weekend playoffs.
