The Lethbridge Hurricanes could sweep the first round of the WHL playoffs with a win on the road Wednesday.

The Canes were victorious in game three over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Tuesday with a score of 3-1.

Carsen Adair kicked off scoring two minutes into the contest with assists from Voytech Port and Miguel Marques.

About six minutes later, Leo Braillard hit the net for the game-winning goal as Marques and Noah Chadwich provided assists.

The Wheat Kings had their lone goal in the second period before Marques scored the final point with less than two minutes remaining in the third.

Canes goalie Jackson Unger was named the first start of the game, stopping 37 of 38 shots on goal.

The Hurricanes have a 3-0 series record against Brandon and could potentially sweep the Wheat Kings in game 4, which is set for Wednesday, April 2 in Manitoba.

This could be the first time since 2018 that the Lethbridge Hurricanes have made it past the first round of the WHL playoffs.
