Hockey fans in Lethbridge will get to take in at least one more WHL playoff game this season.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes entered game four of its first-round series with Brandon looking to potentially sweep the Wheat Kings on the road but were unsuccessful.

The Manitoba squad came out with a 6-4 victory to bring the series to 3-1 in Lethbridge’s favour.

Brayden Edwards hit the net for the Canes in the first period with assists from Vojtech Port and Kai Anderson while Brayden Yager followed that up with another goal in the second.

The third period saw goals by Shane Smith (assist from Leo Braillard) and Jordan Gustafson.

Despite the loss, the Hurricanes need just one more win to move past the first round of the playoffs, something they have not done since 2018.

Game five starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Tickets can be purchased here.
