Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club celebrating 30 years in Lethbridge
A local dance group has been in Lethbridge for 30 years and they look to celebrate with fun, vibrant and fan-favourite performances.
The Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Club is holding its anniversary event on Saturday, April 12 at the Yates Memorial Theatre.
The event will feature lively performances featuring traditional dances and brightly-coloured costumes from various regions of Ukraine, a fundraiser for the Troyanda Ukrainian Newcomer Fund, and special 30th-anniversary displays.
“Troyanda feels that their mandate of promoting and preserving the art of Ukrainian Dance in Southern Alberta is now more important than ever, and they thank the community for all of their support,” the group says in a media advisory. “Troyanda is honoured to welcome Ukrainians new to Southern Alberta into their dance family and is grateful for the community support of their Troyanda Ukrainian Newcomer Fund.”
