Man arrested in Taber following bar incident

The Taber Police Service says it has apprehended a man at a local licensed establishment.

At approximately 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, they say a man approached patrons and stabbed a knife into the table numerous times, demanding to know where a certain person was.

The man was arrested on scene and was allegedly concealing the knife.

Oskar Thomasz Tams Timofiejew, 23, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing cocaine, and one charge of conduct detrimental in licensed premises.

Following a bail hearing, Tams Timofiejew was released with conditions and is set to appear in court on April 22, 2025.
