More than one dozen people were arrested on Monday as part of a drug bust, but five face charges.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says they initiated a drug trafficking investigation in late March at a home on the 1000 block of 12 Street South following reports of suspicious activities.

LPS says the “problem property” has led to “a significant amount of social disorder, open drug use and property crime-related complaints in the area.”

A search warrant was executed on Monday, April 7, with police allegedly seizing a significant amount of cocaine, as well as quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Officers also confiscated weapons including knives, bear spray and nun chucks, along with cash and stolen property including a high-end bike worth over $5,000.

A total of 14 people were initially arrested by LPS, but nine were released without charges. The following five are charged:

Joshua Anthony Woodruff, 36, of Lethbridge is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime, carrying a concealed weapon and six counts of breach of probation. Following a Judicial Interim Releasing hearing, Woodruff was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court April 11.

Jeanine Joy Blood, 36, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. Following a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Blood was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court April 15.

Steven Bruce Isele, 53, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon and possession of stolen property over $5,000. Isele was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 28.

Cordelle Daniel Bad Arm, 49, of Lethbridge, is charged with obstructing a peace officer. Following a Judicial Interim Release hearing, Bad Arm was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court April 9.

Chelica Dawn North Peigan, 32, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. North Peigan was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 29.
