Canadian men to open Gold Cup in Vancouver with coach suspended from sideline
Canada will begin CONCACAF Gold Cup play against Honduras in Vancouver before shifting to Houston for its remaining two Group B games.
The 30th-ranked Canadian men will take on No. 75 Honduras on June 17 at B.C. Place Stadium. They then head to Texas to face No. 90 Curaçao and No. 81 El Salvador at Shell Energy Stadium on June 21 and June 24, respectively.
Canada will be without coach Jesse Marsch on the sidelines for the Vancouver game. Marsch was sent off in the CONCACAF Nations League third-place game in March and has to serve a one-game ban.
The 2025 edition of the Gold Cup features 15 teams from CONCACAF, which covers North and Central America and the Caribbean, plus a guest side in No. 58 Saudi Arabia.
