Coaldale Family 5K Fun Run takes off Saturday

A day of friendly competition aims to benefit a trio of local causes.

The 14th Annual Coaldale Family 5K Fun Run takes place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Coaldale Christian School at 10:00 a.m.

“The Family 5K Fun Run is perfect for runners of all levels,” reads a media release from the event organizers. “Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or looking to enjoy a leisurely walk with loved ones, this event welcomes everyone. Participants are encouraged to wear fun costumes, team shirts, or bright colors to add to the vibrant atmosphere.”

The registration fees are $22 for adults and $11 for youths.

Money raised will support the realization of the Kin Skate Park Playground and Basketball Court, as well as the expansion of the playground next to St. Joseph School.
