City of Lethbridge reminding dog owners to renew their licenses

If you live in Lethbridge and have a dog, you need to renew your license.

The City of Lethbridge says, “If you have not yet renewed your annual dog licence, please note that it has expired. We understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances may change unexpectedly. If you’ve experienced the loss of your pet, or need to update your account, we’re here to help.”

The City of Lethbridge offers convenient ways to pay your renewal fee:

  • Online Credit Card: pay with credit card at lethbridge.ca/pay. Your five-digit Account Number and six-digit Access Code are located at the top of your invoice.
  • Online Banking: use your five-digit account number at the top of your invoice. Select ‘City of Lethbridge – Dog Licence’ as the payee.
  • In Person: visit City Hall at 910 4 Avenue South (cash, cheque or INTERAC) or the Animal Shelter at 2405 41 Street North (cash, cheque, INTERAC or credit card). Payments can also be made in person at most financial institutions.
  • By Mail: send a cheque to City of Lethbridge, 910 4 Ave S, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0P6. Make cheques payable to “City of Lethbridge.”
  • City Hall Drop Box: located at the northwest entrance behind City Hall (cheque only).

Any pet owner who has not renewed their license will receive a mailed invoice with more details. Failure to renew the license may result in a fine.
