A new scam on Facebook involves a fraudulent promotion related to Lethbridge Transit.

The City of Lethbridge says, on April 14, 2025, the page called “Public transport in Lethbridge” made two posts about a so-called unlimited travel smartcard.

The posts contain links to where users can enter their credit card information.

You can see a screenshot of one of the posts below.

The Facebook profile’s bio also contains a link to a website with potentially malicious software.

“The page and posts have been reported to Facebook and the City has commented on the posts to help alert Facebook users to the fraudulent offer. Residents are encouraged to report and block the page,” says the City of Lethbridge.
