The United Party of Canada is looking to Aaron Patton to run in the 2025 federal election in the Bow River riding.

He provided the following answers to LNN in a questionnaire:

Why did you want to run in the 2025 federal election?

It’s my first time running for any political office. Honestly, stepping into the realm of the political wasn’t on my bingo card up until very recently. I am not what you would call a “traditionally politically minded” individual. I am a husband, father, preacher, author, and professional musician. In short, I am an artist responding in obedience to a call of faith. I am a fourth-generation Albertan, which means I voted Conservative my whole adult life and never really questioned policy or platform. Today, I have a different conviction that calls me to use the gifting of my voice to speak against corruption, and speak for all people who relate to my convictions and desire representation.

Why did you choose to run for the United Party of Canada?

They have the most solid platform base matching my convictions policy by policy, line by line. They have a sense of needing to re-establish God’s supremacy over our nation, giving value to all life from inception to its last breath.

What personal or professional experience do you have that you feel would make you a good MP?

I have been a passionate preacher for the better part of two decades, speaking on touchy and important issues with fervency. I believe this, accompanied with my relational approach to life, desiring to represent not just my constituents, but all people in legislation in accordance with my values, and that of the United Party of Canada. I believe my skill set, and my approach will make me relatable to the voters in my riding.

What would be a few of your top priorities if elected?

  • Push for Sovereignty legislation
  • Push our natural resources (ie. oil and gas industries)
  • Push for the ending of equalization payments
  • Push for the building of our military
  • Push for the abolishment of Gun laws
  • Amend the law for right to self-defend
  • Push for the banning of convenience abortion
  • Push for the ending of the MAID program
  • Push for tax credits/breaks/incentives for young growing families
  • Push for enforcement of parental rights

Where can people learn more about you and your platform?

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I believe one of the most important topics of conversation isn’t being had on the big stages concerning this election. The tariffs and their reasons for being implemented should be the focus of questions and concerns by every Canadian. Does Canada have a drug/human trafficking problem? Where does all the accusation from the intelligence agencies of our neighbors to the south about this type of Canadian activity come from? Why is the Canadian narrative so different from the American one in relation to these issues?
