Lethbridge to host ‘High Level Innovation Conference’

An event in Lethbridge aims to celebrate technology, esports and entrepreneurship.

The High Level Innovation Conference (HLIC) comes to the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre on May 2-3, 2025.

It is described as a “dynamic, youth- and family-friendly event that is open ot the public and designed to inspire, connect, and ignite curiosity at every level.”

The HLIC will include hands-on experiences, interactive exhibits and engaging programming for all ages.

Economic Development Lethbridge says, “The event showcases how technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity are shaping new opportunities and career pathways for the next generation—right in our own backyard.”

The main conference program features more than 40 sessions with 60 speakers and facilitators from across Canada. The themes span a range of industries, including entrepreneurship, female-led startups, sales, tourism, transportation, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.

A key highlight is the Innovators & Investors Dinner on May 2. It is geared towards business professionals and offers opportunities to connect with experienced investors and decision makers.

Technology Alberta will make a presentation to the local 2024 winners of the 35th Annual ASTech Awards (Alberta Science & Technology Leadership Awards) and discuss plans for future ASTech Awards events. They will also present a talent workshop earlier in the day to highlight how their initiatives help tech companies to grow.

New for this year is the Battle of the Bridge, an open esports tournament featuring Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The Taco & Hot Sauce Festival Lethbridge will be the go-to option for food and authentic experiences and entertainment.

Admission for people under the age of 18 is free.
