Lethbridge falls 3-2 in overtime to Calgary Wednesday

There will be a game six in the second-round playoff series between the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Calgary Hitmen.

The Hitmen beat the Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime Wednesday evening at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena.

Calgary kicked off scoring early in the first period, while Noah Chadwick got the Canes on the scoreboard a few minutes later, thanks to assists from Miguel Marques and Brayden Yager.

After another goal by the Hitmen in the second, Trae Johnson hit the net for Lethbridge in the third to tie the game up. Grady Pichette and Carsen Adair provided assists for Johnson.

The contest went into overtime, and the game-winning goal was scored by Ben Kindel of Calgary after about six minutes.

Chadwick was named the first star of the game, while Johnson was the third.

The series is now even at two games apiece.

Game five takes place Friday, April 18 in Calgary.
