The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has laid charges in connection with the theft of vehicles.

On Tuesday, April 15, they say a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was previously stolen from Coaldale was found near the Bridge Valley Golf Course, and officers tried to block it.

Police claim a man exited the passenger side of the truck and ran into the coulees, while the driver allegedly rammed into another vehicle and fled in the truck.

LPS and RCMP searched the river valley together and found one of the suspects hiding in the coulees.

Later that evening, the LPS Downtown Policing Unit said it saw a “suspicious male” who was in possession of a high-end bicycle on the 200 block of 8 Street North.

The man reportedly fled from police, but was found nearby. The officers claim that this was the same man who had previously fled in the F-150.

“During a search incidental to arrest, the male was found in possession of a set Ford keys, methamphetamine and police determined the bike he was riding had been stolen from Brooks. The owner of the bike registered it as stolen on Bike Index and has since been notified of its recovery. The stolen Ford truck was recovered on the west side,” reads a release from LPS.

Quinn Mitchell Pozzo, 28, of Brooks, is charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer. Pozzo is currently in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.

LPS did not state whether the other suspect is facing charges.
