Lethbridge expanding food truck locations in 2025

Apr 19, 2025 | 6:00 AM

You might be able to get some great Lethbridge food closer to home.

The City of Lethbridge says there will be five approved locations for where food trucks and mobile vending machines can be set up this year, up from the three that were part of last year’s pilot program.

  • Atso Towaana Park – west (NEW)
  • Nicholas Sheran Leisure Centre – west (NEW)
  • Indian Battle Park – river valley
  • Lethbridge Sports Park – north
  • Park ‘n’ Bark Dog Park – north

All five locations have designated food truck parking areas.

New this year, all food trucks in Lethbridge need to be inspected by a Fire Prevention Officer before they can be approved to operate. Once they pass the inspection, they will get an approval window decal and certificate.

The inspection and approval process is free and happens once per year.

To prepare for an inspection, please read the LFES Food Truck Inspection Information Guide. Once you are ready for an inspection, please complete the LFES Food Truck Inspection Request Form and email it to fireprevention@lethbridge.ca.

Food truck vendors selling on public property require a Mobile Vending Permit. Merchants can contact 311 and ask to speak to the Traffic Technologist or Parking Coordinator. Retailers wishing to access other City of Lethbridge parks can also contact 311.
