Police responding to high-risk incident in downtown Lethbridge

UPDATE (2:09 p.m.): The Lethbridge Police Service says a female suspect has been taken into custody. The public can resume use of the area.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says it is dealing with a high-risk incident.

Reported to media around 12:49 p.m. on Saturday, officers are on the 300 block of 5 Avenue South.

They say the incident involves a barricaded person.
