The Lethbridge Hurricanes were nearly victorious over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday.

At the VisitLethbridge.com Arena, the Canes lost 7-6 in overtime in game three of the Eastern Conference Final.

Lethbridge got off to a great start, scoring the first three goals with Kooper Gizowki, Noah Chadwick and Kash Andresen all hitting the net.

After one point by the Tigers in the second period, Chadwick got his second goal in the second period.

The period would then see Medicine Hat score twice before Lethbridge’s Miguel Marques kicked off scoring in the third period.

The Tigers followed that up with another two goals.

It looked like the Hurricanes were about to walk away with the win after Brayden Yager scored at the 16:41 mark, but Medicine Hat evened things up 6-6 with just over one minute remaining.

That forced overtime, where Oasiz Wiesblatt secured the victory for the Tigers after 2:41.

Medicine Hat is now up 3-0 in the series and looks to potentially sweep the Canes in game four, which takes place Wednesday, April 30, in Lethbridge.

Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale here.
