Emergency training exercise runs Tuesday in Coaldale

May 6, 2025 | 6:00 AM

Residents of Coaldale are being advised of a training scenario involving emergency personnel.

The Town of Coaldale says its Incident Management Team will take part in a training scenario involving a major event at the Coaldale Fire Hall.

It will entail members of the fire department, EMS, RCMP, Family & Community Support Services, town council, other municipal staff and branches of the Alberta Government.

A reception centre will be opened at the Coaldale Community Centre to simulate registration and care for evacuated residents.

Activities will be isolated to the fire hall and community centre, so any emergency vehicles seen outside of those areas are not part of the training exercise.

The simulation takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6.
