The Lethbridge Hurricanes have added three people to their roster this week and lost one.

US Priority Draft

Most recently, at the 2025 US Priority Draft, the WHL team selected 2010-born players Cash Whitmore and Drew Kortan.

Whitmore, 14, was selected in the first round (23rd overall) in the US Draft. The Long Tree, Colorado, product appeared in 59 games with the Colorado Thunderbirds 14U AAA team during the 2024-2025 season, collecting 82 points, including 62 goals and 20 assists, along with 120 penalty minutes. He led the Thunderbirds in goals while finishing second in points.

Kortan, 14, was selected in the second round (24th overall) in the US Draft. The Moorhead, Minnesota, product collected 14 points (2g-12a) along with 23 penalty minutes with the Minnesota Blue Ox 14U AAA team in 2024-2025. He added an additional 14 points (2g-12a) with 10 penalty minutes with the Moorhead Bantam AA team last year.

WHL Expansion Draft

The Canes will no longer have the services of 2007-born forward Cameron Norrie.

He was selected by the Penticton Vees in the 2025 WHL Expansion Draft.

Norrie was undrafted in the WHL Prospects Draft and signed by the Hurricanes in 2024.

The Kelowna, BC, product appeared in 56 regular season games with Lethbridge in his rookie season collecting eight points (3g-5a) and 14 penalty minutes during the 2024-2025 campaign. He also appeared in five post-season games finishing with a plus-1 rating.

“It’s tough to lose Cameron in the Expansion Draft. He was a player that showed a lot of growth in his game as this season went along and filled important roles for our club this year with injuries along the way,” said Hurricanes General Manager Peter Anholt. “We wish Cameron and the entire Norrie family the best of luck moving forward in Penticton.”

Canes Sign DiDomenicantonio

The Lethbridge Hurricanes have signed 2009-born forward Enzo Didomenicantonio to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

The 15-year-old was selected by Lethbridge in the first round (13th overall) in the 2024 WHL US Priority Draft.

The Los Angeles, California, product spent the 2024-2025 season with the HoneyBaked 15U AAA team in Detroit, Michigan, totaling 117 points (57g-60a) in 69 total games this year. He finished first in team scoring and goals while ending the season 10th in 15U league scoring.
