Canadian College World Series kicks off Thursday in Lethbridge

Some of the best collegiate baseball teams are in Lethbridge this week.

The city is hosting the 2025 Canadian College World Series (CCWS) at Spitz Stadium from May 15-18.

The tournament brings together the top eight college baseball programs in Western Canada in a double-knockout format to crown this year’s national champion. They are:

  • Prairie Baseball Academy (PBA) – Lethbridge, AB (Host)
  • University of Calgary Dinos – Calgary, AB
  • Edmonton Collegiate Hawks – Edmonton, AB
  • Okanagan College Coyotes – Kelowna, BC
  • Thompson Rivers University WolfPack – Kamloops, BC
  • Vancouver Island University Mariners – Nanaimo, BC
  • University of the Fraser Valley Cascades – Abbotsford, BC
  • Victoria Golden Tide – Victoria, BC

“We’re expecting hundreds of fans, athletes, and families from out of town, and we’re also running community-driven promotions to get local residents involved — including free admission for all youth 17 and under (courtesy of the University of Lethbridge), a pancake breakfast, student day festivities, and daily fan experiences,” reads a news release from the Prairie Baseball Academy and Under the Lights Sports & Entertainment.
