MS Walk set for Sunday in Lethbridge

May 21, 2025 | 2:11 PM

Residents of Lethbridge can help support Canadians living with multiple sclerosis (MS) at an event this coming weekend.

For the 10th year in a row, the MS Walk, sponsored by Jayman BUILT, is set for Sunday, May 25.

Nicole Sullivan, Director of Community Fundraising for MS Canada, says the walk helps to raise much-needed awareness and funds.

“Canadians affected by MS are at the heart of our work. Whether they live with MS themselves or know someone who does, we are all touched by this disease,” says Sullivan.

She continues, “We are grateful for the long-term commitment that Jayman BUILT has shown the MS community over the past 10 years. It’s through donors and partners, like Jayman BUILT, working with the community, where real change happens. By working together, we are moving closer towards a world free of MS.”

The event will take place in more than 50 locations across the country, and for those who cannot join in person, there will be a virtual MS Walk.

In Alberta, local walks will occur in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Red Deer, and St. Paul.

As of the time of publication, more than $59,000 has been raised in Lethbridge out of the $75,000 goal.

MS Canada says approximately 12 people are diagnosed with MS every day. It is a neurological disease of the central nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.
