Lethbridge man wins two national racquetball championships

A local man is returning home with some major hardware.
Lethbridge’s Coby Iwaasa competed in the Canadian National Racquetball Championships in Burlington, Ontario, on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
He, alongside Kurtis Cullen from Brandon, Manitoba, won a gold medal in the Men’s Open Doubles tournament, defeating Leyton Gouldie and Asher Pocsai in the championship round.
Iwaasa also won the Men’s Open Singles crown, defeating Quebec’s Sam Murray. This was Iwaasa’s first time in 10 years competing in the national championship for this division.
