One Southern Alberta community had its hottest May 26 on record this week.
Environment Canada says the mercury hit 26.8 degrees Celsius in Milk River on Monday, breaking the town’s previous record of 26.4 set in 1998.
Although Lethbridge’s high was 30 degrees, it did not constitute the breaking of a heat record.
The weather forecaster is calling for temperatures to reach the high 20s and low 30s for most of this week in Lethbridge. Sunday and Monday could see cooler temperatures with rain.
