Live Well Showcase a “one-stop shop” for seniors’ services and supports

The Lethbridge Senior Citizens’ Organization (LSCO) is heralding the return of its annual Live Well Showcase.

Taking place during Seniors’ Week on June 5 and 6, it also coincides with the LSCO’s 50th anniversary in 2025.

LSCO Executive Director Kaitlynn Weaver says seniors can learn more about a wide range of service providers.

“We have about 70-75 vendors that range from businesses, non-profits, anybody who is interested in speaking to how they support seniors or the resources they have for seniors,” says Weaver.

She adds that it is great to be able to provide a one-stop shop for all of these organizations in a way that will be easy for seniors to access.

“LSCO is obviously a big community hub for seniors already, so being able to bring folks to where they already are, as well as introduce new seniors or new families to the LSCO is really really valuable,” Weaver explains.

The festivities kick off at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, involving Lethbridge Mayor Blaine Hyggen, Lethbridge-West MLA Rob Miyashiro and potentially other invited dignitaries.

There will also be a series of speaker presentations over the two-day event. The schedule is as follows:

    • Dr. Robbin Gibb, Phd, Neuroscience Professor, University of Lethbridge
