Road closures for 6 Street Block Party downtown Saturday

To accommodate the annual Lethbridge Block Party on Saturday, June 14, officials with the City of Lethbridge say the following road closures will be in effect starting at 7 a.m. that day:

• 6 Street South between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue
• 3 Avenue South between 5 Street and 7 Street
• 4 Avenue South between 6 Street and 7 Street

The city says event organizers have sent notices to businesses and residents in the area.

The event itself will take place from 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. It will feature live music, beer gardens, a kids’ zone, food trucks and vendors. Roads will fully re-open late Saturday night.

According to city officials, the cycling lanes on 4 Avenue will remain open, with added signage for pedestrians to watch for cyclists.
