Residents of north Lethbridge may notice black smoke over the coming days, but the City says not to worry.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) says some of its members are taking part in training exercises at Station #4 on 2825 5 Avenue North.

The training exercises will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day from Tuesday, June 17, to Friday, June 20, 2025.

“During this time, residents may notice sporadic black smoke coming from the training facility. This is part of a controlled demonstration,” reads an advisory from the City of Lethbridge and LFES.

LFES assures that there will be no risk to the public.
