Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) says a quick response limited the damage caused by a fire on the north side.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, firefighters from four stations were called to a home on the 1900 block of 6 Avenue North.

Upon arrival, LFES says members encountered smoke and flames coming from the rear of the structure.

“Crews entered the building and quickly contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further spread,” reads a news release from LFES.

All residents were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

Damages are estimated to exceed $250,000.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
