Severe thunderstorm watch issued for most of southern Alberta

We could potentially see severe thunderstorms in southern Alberta.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for several communities in the region, including Lethbridge, Taber, Medicine Hat, Milk River, Brooks and more.

They say the weather events could result in strong wind gusts on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

This is expected to make driving conditions difficult and could potentially damage trees and buildings, or even overturn vehicles.

“When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year,” says Environment Canada.
