July highlight of activities at Lethbridge Public Library

Lethbridge Public Library is highlighting several activities planned for July.

Ready, Set, Read!

Ready, Set, Read! gives kids the opportunity to practice reading skills over the summer break. Younger students are paired with student volunteers to read together, followed by games, activities, and special guests related to the weekly theme. Registration is required, and program sessions run 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

July 7 – 11: Animals – Main Branch

July 14 – 18: Music – Crossings

July 21 – July 25: Dinosaurs – Main Branch

July 28 – August 1: Space – Crossings

Splash into Stories

July 10 from 5:15 – 7:45 p.m. – Westminster Pool

Movie Night in the Pool! Kick off summer reading with Moana 2 and ice cream from Cookie Crimes! Registration required.

Free Vegetable & Flower Share

July 13 & 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. – Main Branch

Garden overflowing with produce and flowers you don’t know what to do with? Share them with your community or pick up some goodies from a neighbour at this free community event. Everyone is welcome!

July 26 from 2 – 3 p.m. – Main Branch

Local author Tina Kowalski will be discussing her book How to Emotionally Survive Cancer.
