A Lethbridge man will stand trial towards the end of this year after allegedly sexually assaulting a young boy.

A trial date for Quan Phuoc Tran, 66, has been set for Dec. 1, 2025.

He was arrested back in February following a reported incident at the Stan Siwik Pool on the north side.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) claims that a man approached an 11-year-old boy in the men’s changing room and sexually assaulted him.

The suspect was apprehended the following day.

Tran faces one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference.

The courts have enacted a publication ban that protects the identities of all victims and witnesses in this case, and the ban extends to members of the public.
