Alberta RCMP offering auto theft-resistant tips

Alberta RCMP is offering tips for vehicle owners to prevent auto-related thefts this summer.
- Mounties says thefts of and from vehicles can occur anywhere, even when at a campsite or trail head.
- Tips offered by the RCMP include:
- Keep your vehicle locked
- Never leave your vehicle running unattended
- Keep keys safe
- Hide or lockup valuables
- Close windows
- Secure your trailer’s hitch with a hitch lock
- Use motion sensor lights.
If you see something suspicious, report it to your local police service. If you see a crime in progress, call 911.
