Strong winds, hail during thunderstorm in southern Alberta Sunday

Environment Canada reported strong winds during severe thunderstorms in some areas or southern Alberta on Sunday.

Calgary reported hail up to the size of a golf ball.

Environment Canada said power outages were also reported in several areas.

Some of the strongest winds reported included:

• South of the Cypress Hills 115 km/hr
• Claresholm 115 km/hr
• Milk River 96 km/hr
• Calgary International Airport 93 km/hr
• Pincher Creek 80 km/hr
• Lethbridge 78 km/hr
