Water quality advisory lifted for Enchant Municipal Park

An issue of “fecal bacteria” in a local park has been resolved.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) has lifted its water quality advisory for the Enchant Municipal Park Pond. The community is approximately 34 kilometres northwest of Vauxhall.

The advisory was issued on July 14 as health officials warned that ingestion of the water could result in gastrointestinal illness or other conditions.

“Water quality has returned to an acceptable level and the health risk is low for usage of the swim pond for recreational purposes,” says AHS.

As a general rule, the public is reminded to never drink or cook with untreated water directly from any lake or reservoir at any time.
