A deal has been made between two WHL clubs in the prairies.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes have acquired 2007-born forward Hudson Kibblewhite, a fourth-round draft pick in 2026 and a conditional third-round pick in 2028 from the Saskatoon Blades.

In exchange, the Blades will receive 2006-born defenceman Tristen Doyle and an eighth-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.

Kibblewhite, 18, was originally drafted in the second round (35th overall) of the 2022 WHL Draft. Hailing from Vernon, B.C., he appeared in 52 games during the 2024-25 regular season, totalling 16 points (8g-8a) with eight penalty minutes.

Doyle, 19, was picked up by the Canes in the first round (17th overall) in the 2020 WHL Draft.

He has appeared in 188 regular-season games with Lethbridge over the last four seasons, accumulating 68 points (16g-52a) with a plus-11 rating. He added three assists in 16 career playoff games.
