The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says its officers were kept on their toes this past weekend.

The Street Wheelers classic car festival took place July 11-13, 2025.

LPS issued a total of 286 tickets and 34 warnings for a variety of traffic violations, the majority of which were related to stunting, speeding and equipment violations.

Enforcement, however, also led to:

  • Two Immediate Roadside Sanction (IRS) Cautions
  • One IRS Refusal
  • One 24-hour licence suspension
  • Nine vehicle tows, including one incident that drew a large crowd when an unregistered and unsafe vehicle was removed from the roadway
  • One impaired driving charge
  • One assault charge
  • One outstanding warrant was executed

LPS says that although there was a steady increase in attendance at Street Wheelers, the majority of participants were acting responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws.
