LPS asking for help in assault investigation

UPDATE (Tuesday, July 29): Both of the involved parties have been identified. The Lethbridge Police Service is thanking the public for their assistance.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking anyone who has information or video footage of a recent assault to contact them.

The incident occurred at 7:39 p.m. on July 12, 2025, at the south side Walmart on 3700 Mayor Magrath Drive South.

LPS says a verbal altercation between a man and a group of people began inside the store and continued outside, where a weapon was allegedly produced.

Police are looking to speak with a person associated with an Orange Hot Rod with no hood, as they are believed to have been a witness to the incident.

Officers also want to identify the man in the attached photographs.

Anyone who may have witnessed the assault, has video footage, or who knows any of the involved parties, is asked to call LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 25012744.
