UPDATE (11:40 a.m.) Two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane (from the off-ramp at south Scenic Drive onto Whoop-Up Drive) have reopened.

Original Story:

The City of Lethbridge says drivers will need to take Highway 3 to get across the coulees for now.

They say there was an “incident” on the Whoop-Up Drive bridge just after 9:30 a.m. this morning, resulting in the closures of all lanes of travel.

A piece of equipment that was being carried on a flatbed got wedged under the bridge.

We will provide more updates when they become available.
