Human remains found in Brooks

The RCMP says it is investigating after a deceased person was located in Brooks.

Around 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, a resident of Brooks reported that they had found the remains of a person in an alley near Southshore Drive.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.

No further details are being released at this time, but Brooks RCMP says an update is anticipated soon.
