Canadians are set to run, walk, bike, and rollerblade this weekend for cancer research.

The Terry Fox Run is set to take place in many communities across the country on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

In Lethbridge, registration at the Legacy Park Picnic Shelter will be at 10:00 a.m., with the run commencing at 11. Full details here.

Organizer Austin Moloughney says it will not only be a day of fun, but also fundraising.

“Every dollar will be donated as we are a zero-dollar campaign, so every single dollar raised goes to the Terry Fox Foundation,” says Moloughney.

He tells LNN that they will have a six-foot cutout of Terry Fox at the event, as well as a t-shirt from the original run in 1980.

The event in Lethbridge will have one, two and five kilometre routes, and they have been designed for people of all accessibility levels.

Moloughney says that last year, they raised nearly $11,000, surpassing their goal of $7,200.

The goal for this year is $7,800, and as of this publication, more than $5,100 has already been collected.
