Two people have been charged in connection with a pair of jewelry store thefts.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says a man and a woman broke into Paris Jewelers at Park Place Mall at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Video surveillance reportedly shows the man smashing a window to gain entry.

Police say $47,100 worth of gold chains were stolen, and the suspects left in a Dodge Caravan that was waiting for them.

LPS says it later found video footage of the suspects attending several jewelry stores in Park Place Mall two days before the break-in.

The suspects were identified, and officers learned that they were wanted in connection with other jewelry store thefts.

The female suspect has allegedly rented the Caravan in Edmonton several days prior, and it was found abandoned just outside Lethbridge on August 24. Physical evidence linking her to the site where the vehicle was left was seized.

According to LPS, the suspects had purchased an RV from a Lethbridge marketplace seller that same day, and are believed to have left the city at that time.

On Sept. 1, the suspects were arrested in Warman, Saskatchewan.

Officers allegedly recovered 57 diamond rings linked to previous jewelry store break-ins, as well as a gold smelter; however, the items taken from Lethbridge were not recovered.

Waylon Chuck Tourangeau, 39, and Brianna Marcella Bouchie, 34, both from Edmonton, are charged with shopbreaking and commit theft.

Tourangeau remains in custody in Saskatchewan, but Bouchie has been released.
