A star basketball player is being recognized by her alma mater.

Kacie Bosch has been named the University of Lethbridge Pronghorn’s 2025 Young Alumni Award winner.

She competed in 3×3 women’s basketball in the 2024 Paris Olympics, helping Team Canada to earn its first-ever berth in the event.

Bosch has also won three FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series championship titles and two FIBA 3×3 World Cup medals.

In the classroom, she was a three-time USPORTS Academic All-Canadian. Bosch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2020.

She joined the Pronghorns women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in 2022 while returning to the U of L to pursue a Bachelor of Education.

In 2025, Bosch was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Cyndi Crane, president of the University of Lethbridge Alumni Association, says, “It was amazing to watch Kacie compete on the world’s biggest stage last summer, both as an athlete and as a humble young woman who has always taken the time to share her journey with young athletes who harbor the same dreams.”

She is now a student support worker in the Lethbridge School Division.

Bosch will be recognized at Let There Be Light Night, a celebration of alumni achievement, on October 17, 2025. Tickets are available here.
