Residents of Coaldale will have a chance to hear from the candidates before casting their ballots.

The Coaldale Chamber of Commerce is hosting a municipal election forum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Civic Square Atrium.

It is described as a community event where people can meet the candidates, ask questions, and learn more about their vision for Coaldale.

The Chamber says it believes that informed voices help to build a stronger community.

“This is more than just an event — it’s where business leaders, residents, and future decision-makers come together. The Chamber exists not only to strengthen local business, but also to foster community dialogue and engagement,” reads a notice from the Coaldale Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature the town’s two mayoral candidates – incumbent Jack Van Rijn and Henry Doeve.

Guests can also expect to see council candidates Jacen Abrey, Jason Beekman, Eric Berns, Bill Chapman, Brent Ginther, Dale Pickering, Lisa Reis, Jordan Sailer, and Gary Scherer.

Questions can be submitted in advance of the forum online at CoaldaleChamber.com

Advance voting in Coaldale will take place on October 9, 11, 14 and 18. The general election day is October 20.
