Lethbridge Hurricanes receive Oil Kings’ Jack Toogood in trade

It is a deal that was simply “Toogood” to pass up for the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The team has announced the acquisition of Edmonton Oil Kings’ forward Jack Toogood in exchange for a conditional eighth-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft.

The 18-year-old was originally drafted by the Oil Kings in the 12th round (263 overall) in the 2022 WHL Draft.

He is from Devon, Alberta, and played in five games this past season with Edmonton, registering two goals and a plus-3 rating with two penalty minutes.

Toogood has skated in 65 career regular-season games with the team over three seasons, amassing nine points (8g-1a) along with 48 penalty minutes.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are on the road on Tuesday to take on the Red Deer Rebels.

They return to the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Friday, Oct. 10, welcoming the Portland Winterhawks.
