Loewen to represent Alberta at international conservation gathering

Alberta’s Minister of Forestry and Parks will be attending an international conference on conservation this week in the United Arab Emirates.

Central Peace-Notley MLA Todd Loewen will be at the World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi.

A release from the province says Loewen will be there to promote what Alberta is doing when it comes to conservation and to learn about what other places are doing.

“Our province is a leader on the world stage when it comes to wildlife conservation and land management. This conference offers us the opportunity to share our success stories, learn from others and form partnerships that will help strengthen Alberta,” says Loewen in that same release.

Loewen will be at the congress from October 9-13.

Oct. 8-9

  • Travel to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Oct. 9-13

  • Attend congress forum sessions, summit, and exhibitions.
  • Meetings with international stakeholders.
  • Attend ICUN Members’ Assembly.
  • Meetings with international stakeholders.

Oct. 13-14

  • Travel back to Edmonton.
