The City of Lethbridge is reminding snow route residents that Friday, Oct. 10, is the final day to register for the Windrow Assistance Service (WAS).
Officials say this annual subscription-based service supports residents with accessibility and mobility challenges by removing snow windrows that form along curbs and driveways after plowing. If you live on a snow route and need assistance, call 311 before the end of the day Friday to sign up.
The city says annual registration is required, even for those who participated last year. When you call 311, staff will confirm eligibility and provide service details to ensure the program is a good fit for your household. Signing up before the deadline helps ensure the service is ready to go before snow begins to fall.
