City of Lethbridge lifts River Valley fire ban

Oct 14, 2025 | 2:37 PM

The public can once again have fires in the coulees.

The City of Lethbridge has announced that it is lifting its fire ban for the River Valley, effective immediately.

They say that recent changes in weather conditions, including higher humidity levels and cooler temperatures, have reduced the risk of fires.

Members of the public should still be cautious when doing any type of burning, as the City asks that you use clean and dry wood, ensure that the fire is completely extinguished before leaving, and properly dispose of any smoking materials.
