Four election forums Tuesday & Wednesday in Lethbridge

Residents of Lethbridge will have a few more opportunities to hear from their municipal election candidates.

Four forums have been scheduled for the next two days, three of which will focus on the mayor and council candidates, while one will serve to showcase those running for Public School Trustee.

They are as follows:

Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce (Mayor and Council):

  • Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Yates Memorial Theatre
  • Provide candidates with the opportunity to share their perspectives on issues impacting Lethbridge’s business community and to allow residents to gain a deeper understanding of each candidate’s vision for fostering economic growth and prosperity.
  • Free registration is required, which you can do here.

Alberta Teachers’ Association Local 41 (Public School Trustee):

  • Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
  • VisitLethbridge.com Arena, CWB Lounge
  • Mix and mingle event with a former Q&A period.

Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (Mayor and Council):

  • Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization
  • Meet and greet with mayor and council candidates.

Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge (Mayor and Council)

  • Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
  • Multicultural Centre, Diversity Ballroom
  • Mix and mingle. Candidates will be assigned tables, and attendees can visit them as they wish. No prepared remarks are required.

Voting in the 2025 municipal election opened on Oct. 8 in Lethbridge, and advance voting dates are being held on Oct. 15, 16, 17 and 18.

The general election day is Monday, Oct. 20.

Polls will be open on all of those days from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lethbridge Trade & Convention Centre (formerly Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre) and the Cor Van Raay YMCA.

A third polling station will operate out of the Trinity Reformed Church on the north side on Oct. 20.
