A total of 28 charges have been laid in connection with alleged drug trafficking.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT), in partnership with the Lethbridge Police Service, searched a home on Laval Road West on Sept. 16, 2025.

ALERT says the property had recently been the subject of numerous complaints about suspected drug activity. Their investigation began in June 2025.

Officers claim to have found fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and two firearms inside the house.

One suspect was arrested on scene, who ALERT alleges had been supplying drugs to street-level fentanyl dealers, who mainly operated in the downtown area.

Another six people were apprehended for alleged drug trafficking.

The full list of suspects includes:

  • Andrew Hall, 44 years old
  • Courtney Ogbogu, 35 years old
  • Marty Fransen, 50 years old
  • Shaun Dyck, 36 years old
  • Anna Switzer, 35 years old
  • Matthew Clark, 41 years old
  • Nicole Hormoth, 39 years old

ALERT Staff Sgt. Trevor Sheppard says, “Police and residents are tired of drug trafficking in the downtown core. Drug traffickers will attempt to hide in our neighborhoods while they prey on the vulnerable areas in the city. This targeted enforcement campaign cut off this drug supply network and has also taken a number of prolific dealers off the street.”

Anyone who suspects drug or gang activities is asked to call their local police. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at P3Tips.com, or by using the P3 Tips mobile app.
