Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) is continuing to investigate a fire on the north side.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, firefighters were called to a home on the 200 block of 15 Street North.

They say flames were seen coming from the southeast corner of the roof. Members were able to bring it under control in a short amount of time.

Two occupants were found inside the home. They were safely evacuated with the assistance of the attending firefighters.

The residents were assessed by paramedics and were cleared to return to their home after the fire was fully extinguished.

LFES says the fire was contained to the roof, and there was some damage to the room directly below.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
